How does Loomi work?
Loomi is an audio-first bedtime story app for children ages 0–6. You pick a story, your child listens to it narrated over a soft lullaby melody, and when the story ends the melody continues until the sleep timer runs out. The phone is meant to go face-down ... there's nothing visual to engage with after you press play.
Why don't I see a screen during playback?
That's intentional. Loomi is built around our core promise: start and forget. Once a story is playing you can place the phone face-down and Loomi takes care of the rest. The dim Dream Mode interface is designed to keep light out of your child's room.
How do subscriptions work?
Loomi offers two subscription plans through the App Store:
- Loomi Monthly — billed monthly, cancel anytime
- Loomi Annual — billed yearly, best value
Both plans start with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel anytime in your iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
Subscriptions are managed entirely through the App Store. Loomi does not store payment information.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top to open your Apple Account
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap Loomi
- Tap Cancel Subscription
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Sign in to the new device with the same Apple ID, install Loomi, then open Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. Your subscription will reactivate automatically.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app, open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. If you also have an active subscription, cancel it via your iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions before deleting your account.
Prefer email? Write to us at privacy@loomi.kids and we'll handle the deletion within 7 days.
Stories aren't downloading or playing
- Check your internet connection ... downloads require Wi-Fi or cellular data
- Make sure your device has enough free storage (each story is approx. 3–5 MB)
- Try force-quitting Loomi and reopening it
- If the issue persists, email support@loomi.kids with your iPhone model and iOS version
My child's profile disappeared
Profile data is stored on your device. If you signed out, reinstalled the app, or restored from an iCloud backup that pre-dated profile creation, you may need to re-add the profile. We don't sync profile data across devices to protect your child's privacy.
Can I use Loomi on iPad?
Loomi is currently designed for iPhone. You can install it on iPad and run in compatibility mode, but the experience is optimised for iPhone. Native iPad support may come in a future release.
Is Loomi safe for my child?
Yes. Loomi is built for kids, with a strict privacy stance:
- We do not collect personal information from children
- There are no ads
- There are no social features
- There is no in-app messaging
- Subscription purchases and external links are protected behind a parental gate
