Loomi ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Loomi app.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Loomi is designed for children ages 0-6 and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws. We do not collect, use, or share personal information from children.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you use Loomi, you may provide:

• Child's first name - Used only for personalization within the app (e.g., "Stories for Emma"). This is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Child's age range - Used to filter age-appropriate content. Stored locally on your device only.
• Apple ID authentication - If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the minimum information necessary to create your account (a unique identifier and, optionally, your email address if you choose to share it).

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect children's personal information
• We do not collect location data
• We do not collect photos, videos, or voice recordings
• We do not use analytics that track individual children
• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies

How We Use Information

The limited information we receive is used solely to:

• Personalize the app experience (displaying your child's name, filtering stories by age)
• Manage your account and subscription
• Provide customer support when you contact us

Data Storage

• Local Storage: Child profile information (name and age) is stored exclusively on your device
• No Cloud Sync of Child Data: We do not upload or sync children's information to any servers
• Audio Content: Story audio files may be downloaded to your device for offline playback

Third-Party Services

Loomi uses the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign-In — For secure authentication
• Apple App Store — For processing purchases and subscriptions
• Firebase Analytics — For anonymised, aggregate usage analytics at the parent-account level only. Firebase Analytics is never used to track children or collect children's personal information

We do not use third-party advertising, analytics that track children, or social media integrations.

Subscription Information

Subscription Status

We store your subscription entitlement status (active, expired, or in a free trial) locally on your device to determine which content you can access. This status is checked through Apple's StoreKit framework and is not transmitted to our servers.

Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Loomi does not collect, store, or have access to credit card numbers, billing addresses, or any other payment details.

Subscription Analytics

To improve the app experience, we collect anonymised subscription-related usage events. These events help us understand how parents interact with our subscription offering and are never linked to children's personal information. The events we collect include:

• When a parent views the subscription options screen
• When a parent dismisses the subscription options screen
• When a subscription is started (plan type and whether it began with a free trial)
• When a subscription is restored on a new device
• When a subscription purchase fails (error type only ... no personal data)

These events are processed through Firebase Analytics and contain no personally identifiable information. They are used solely to improve the subscription experience for families.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only:

• When required by law
• To protect the safety of our users
• With service providers who assist in operating our app (under strict confidentiality agreements)

Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review any personal information we hold about your account
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of any future communications

Data Retention

• Account information is retained while your account is active
• You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us
• Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any information we handle. Child profile data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
